SA’s leading integrated communications provider Telkom and DStv’s premier in-home entertainment movie rental service BoxOffice are collaborating in another industry first to bring SA consumers a fantastic offer exclusive to BoxOffice customers.
This summer, Telkom has launched a 2-4-1 Movie Mondays promotion as part of their Summer of Wow advertising campaign, which gives DStv BoxOffice subscribers the opportunity to rent two BoxOffice movies for the price of one, every Monday during the month of October 2014.
All BoxOffice subscribers who take advantage of this great offer before the end of October 2014 will be automatically entered into a lucky draw to win a grand prize from Telkom. The prize, a Telkom Supreme SmartHome package, which includes a Samsung Smart TV and a 24 month broadband contract valued at over R47 000.00, is another industry first.
Telkom’s SmartHome range of packages is the first and only in the country to provide consumers a seamlessly converged contract that includes fixed and mobile voice solutions, high speed data access via ADSL or VDSL depending on their location combined with mobile data for when they are on-the-go. Also, with the SmartHome packages consumers will get a single bill for fixed and mobile for the first time.
“We are thrilled about our collaboration with Telkom” comments John Kotsaftis CEO DStv Digital Media “this is a first of its kind for BoxOffice and we can’t wait to give movie lovers more of what they want; Monday night will officially become Telkom and BoxOffice Movie Mondays” concludes Kotsaftis.
To qualify for two movies at the price of one, a subscriber must rent one BoxOffice movie on a PVR or Explora and a credit will be received for the second movie. Each rental on Mondays will qualify as a single entry into the lucky draw for the Telkom SmartHome Supreme package. “As South Africa’s leading broadband service provider, it made sense for us to partner with BoxOffice as it offers us contextual relevance when advertising our SmartHome broadband offerings to affluent South African consumers” says Nothemba Noruwana, Telkom spokesperson. “Telkom’s new Brand and Summer campaigns are both unexpected and entertaining. In particular the company’s Summer propositions focus on enabling great connectivity in the comfort for consumers’ homes and on-the-go, and consumers who subscribe to BoxOffice are those who want entertainment on demand. The strategic fit was obvious.”
Spectacular movies to look forward to include Edge of Tomorrow, Transcendence, X-MEN, Maleficent, Blended and a whole lot more.
